y am i geting dvd read error 1101

    hi i was playing my wii then when i went to switch back up games it says dvd error 1101 im running 4.2 firmware thanks

    Make sure you are using DVD-R media. Else, DVD+R needs to be book-typed to DVD-ROM.

    I am also getting the same error with DVD-R media.
    I have installed NeoGamma R7 on my 4.2j wii.
    Help please!!
    I have installed cIOS as well.

    i have softmodded lots of my friend wii but now ik got a black wii which is running system 4.1 i install homebrew and done everything correct and running rev14 and neogamma r7 now im gettin the read error (1101) i burn all games on dvd- and at x4 speed never had a prob before but no im gettin this error any1 shed any info on it plz would like to know how to fix it thanx

    Newer Wii systems have drives in them that can not plat backup disc. If this is the case you will get the 1101 error message. You will need to use a USB Loader to load your games if you have 1 of these new drives.

    yup i have done alot of reading and if you get the error 1101 msg then stop wasteing dvdrs uyou need to use usb loader

    Error 1101 doesn't always mean you will have 1 of the new drives. But if you have a new Wii System and keep getting the error then more then likely you have 1 of the new drives.
