i recently bought acer aspire one netbook. it has linpus lite OS. where can i find yahoo messenger for this OS? im looking for IM with webcam and voice support. PIDGIN & WINE has these features? TIA!
Try usking kopete. I don't use it, so can't say whether voice works and can't help with how to install or configure. Never used linpus/fedora, but there should be some easy way to install apps. http://docs.kde.org/development/en/kdenetwork/kopete/protocols.html#protocols-msn If you want a real voip solution, ekiga and skype also support webcams, but they behave more like a telephone than an IM.
I thought there was already a Yahoo-equivalent program on Linpus on my Acer. It hasn't got Linpus on anymore so i can't remember the name of the program.
pidgin perchance? I use gaim for IM apps.. no need for anything else. Can't say I heard of linpus before. debian girls rock... there is a lack of purple around here
