Yamaha HTR-6050 HDMI?

    I have the system wired for everything through composite. However I did wire my dvd in through the HDMI input with the output going to the tv. However no signal is getting though. Is there anything in particular I suppose to do to get it to use the HDMI channel?

    did you connect it from the DVD player directly to the TV?

    if you did you need an HDMI from the TV to the receiver
