Your plans? Buy the X360? Or wait for the PS3?

give out your plans, on whether you're ready to go out and buy the new Xbox 360, or are you willing to wait for the Playstation 3 and why?

 

Buying x360 on next friday and ps3 when it comes out. Because this why I don't have to choose between two consoles, and I can buy only best games. I saw x360 first time today, and it looked so cool. This one store had cod2 running, it looked sweet but they didn't have hdtv. But this other store had Kameo running on hdtv and that really overwhelmed me.

 

Im waiting for the PS3...Because more exclusive games, better graphics, and its just a more pwerful machine than the 360....and blue ray disc which hold more data than reg dvd...360 kept the standard DVD.

 

there goes another person who looked at a picture of ps3 graphics and looked at an xbox360 picture, and made an assumption about the quality. did it ever occur to anybody that these pictures might be renders taken from a piece of 3d software? its not hard to do.

also, blu ray is expensive, and ive heard rumours that ps3 is getting rid of blue ray.

and...ps3 is losing its good developers to 360 cos its cheaper, and easier to develope for. when will people stop going on about ps3 is "better" than 360. it might well be, but thats cos they will be releasing later so the devs have longer to polish the games. and cos ps2 had quite a big following. but all the people i know that say ps2 is better than xbox are nobheads.

 

How do you know these things? No gameplay videos yet (except that bathtub video that doesn't reveal anything) or any word about games.

 

which ever can be modded 1st. i'd obviously put my $ on the 360 ;]

 

Also getting mine next friday. I pre-ordered on the 19th august with perfect dark zero. Cant wait!!!!!!!

 

anybody heard anything about Playstation 3 pre-orders?

Anyways, I'll most likely only get a Revolution because all of my friends will have either a 360 or a PS3. Plus I think it's going to be the funnest console to play. But that's just me.
If I could get two, then I would first get a Rev and then a PS3. If I could have all three, then that would be awesome and I wouldn't go back to college. I'd just work and buy video games and play them.

 

if ya got the money go with ahighend pc, it is way better than any console. I predict that within 6 months pc will have a huge lead on the console yet agian. Power to the PC baby!!!

I was going 100% for 360, now i'm going 100% for PS3

 

im hopin 2 buy a 360 in a few months, and then the ps3 in a year or so ifd ive heard good things about it and the price was lowered a little bit since the lauch

 

I plan to wait for the PS3 to arrive so that I can test it and decide wish one is better for me considering some factors like budget, available games, graphics and other features. Even if I end up choosing the PS3, I don't see myself rushing to buy it. Instead I'll be waiting until most glitches are repaired and the mod-chips are developed. I believe the 360 will be better for moding, because I already own a Dual-Layer burner and because it came first, giving chip developers mora time. And I read a rumor about external hardrives confirmed to work by 360 owners, wich is a great start.

 

i'm waiting for ps3 if i don't like it at that time i will buy the xbox plus xbox will be very cheap by then.

 

im waiting for the ps3 or the nintendo revolution microsoft just became a money grubbing hore so im no longer interrested in playing there crap tastic consoles

 

I'm gonna wait for the PS3. I just think it will be better.

 

some of you go on like microsoft are the only huuge corporation that makes lots of money. its one of the first aims of the business, to make money. and microsoft arent money grbbing. look at the facts. ms makes a loss of $173 each console and ps3 makes about the same but for the first 3 years instead of ms first year.


theres no loyalty anymore. i chose xbox over ps2 and ive stuck with it since i got it. ive not played on a ps2 since i got my xbox over 3 years ago, except for once, when i wanted to play GTA: Sa. CHoose a console, and stick with it.

 

Actually MS keeps making a loss on it every year. If you look at their reports on their XBox section it has always run at a loss every single qurter of every single year of the whole life of the XBox. The best they could do was lessen the loss. However the PS2 which is still sold at the same amount of loss still managed to bring in a good profit because of strong software support and sales. But Microsoft can afford the loss. I'm going to wait for the PS3. And the fact that the XBox 360 is easier to develop for is a double-edged sword. It is easier to code for compared to the PS3 but since it doesn't use HD-DVD it might take up too much space for one DVD and they have to spend time and money making it smaller. Enchant Arms for the XBox 360 already uses 2 DVDs and it's one of the first few games for the XBox 360. Either they find out how to really compress games or they have to use more DVDs. Both of which increase production costs. Plus there's the fact Microsoft is demanding that every game has core system support so if a game wants to use a hard drive they need to put in a separate copy of the game that uses the core system unless they can convince MS otherwise. That also increases costs. PS3 however has its strange new processor and Bluray to hike up production costs. So most likely unless the developers find some way to cheaply produce graphics on par or better than PS3 graphics on the XBox 360 in a single DVD with a reasonably long story then the XBox 360 will probably cost more to develop games for.

 

I don't like to be so open about what console I prefer. (Damn, I keep forgetting to change that sig.)
