Anybody know what to do about this one? I went to do a virus scan the other day with Zone Alarm and the only thing being alarmed was me. I purchased the the entire suite on 4/21/06 and I also added a year of updates for an additional fee (thats pretty sorry they charge you for the updates I thought but it was still 20 dollars cheaper than Mcafee) Now here it is 3 months later and my product key is invalid. So I tried uninstalling ZA and reinstalling it and I punched my product key back in and nothing. Still says I am out of date and I need to purchase the product key. So now I find myself at there website and I discover that they have no customer support. They do but its automated and if you can't find your answer there (which I could not) you will have to pay 3 dollars a minute on some 900 number (which I ended up doing) DON'T EVER DO THAT IF YOU HAVE ZONE ALARM!!! I did and they charged my credit card twice and to top that off they were suppose to be sending me an email addressing the issue giving me the play by play instructions on how to correct the problem. Here it is two days later and I still have not recieved the email with the instructions but I did however get this:
    Hello valued Zone Labs customer,

This email is to confirm we have received your request for Customer
Service. Your issue has been logged and assigned a case number below.

Note: Please Do Not reply to this email. By replying to this email
the original time and date received will be changed and your case
will go to end of the queue.
You should receive a reply to your issue via email within 2 working
days (excluding weekends and major holidays) under normal request
    volume.

    Best Regards,
    Zone Labs Customer Service Team

So that sounds promising right? lol Yeah right I cannot believe they call thereselves a security company. Is this a big joke? I know I bought it twenty days after April fools.. maybe they were running a lil behind.. I just don't get it. I paid for a product that does not work.. and then I paid for customer service I have not recieved. Now I'm just incredibly pissed the F#@$ off! I can't help but think I have been ripped off by a company that is suppose to prevent those types of things from happening to me. I finally did find a number you could call and not pay 3 dollars a minute for (oh yeah I forgot to mention/ if you do ever call that number they will spend your first ten bucks verifying your name and address and email information) its just insane!! anyways if you have zonealarm and you want to call for help... call this number 1-877-966-5221 within the
United States, +1 415 633 4588 outside the United States
Otherwise you will feel just like me... used and abused by your Security Software Company (what a joke)
I almost put this in the valve but I would really like to hear some suggestions... because I'm all out of ideas. WTF do you do? I asked for a new product key but they aren't willing to let that happen... why? because they would satisfy the customer and plus they might actually lose three whole months.. its far better to piss off the people giving you money than it is to make a customer happy enough to return the next year. GREAT WAY TO RUN A BUSINESS!!! YOU SORRY M#$%@#$@%@^^@$^@$^3

    ok... it's all out now

Just wanted to say that I'm thankfully here to inform you that Zone Labs did finally get to my issue. I'm believeing it had alot to do with it being a weekend as for it taking so long for the much needed feedback. As for the customer support, just use the number I provided above for any inquiries otherwise you will be billed and that simple fact is what started my drama. I still feel and always feel that if I already paid for your product and it is defective I should never ever be billed for support. (I know they gotta eat too but still) It's just not the way I would do business. As far as there premium telephone support goes I was however billed twice and the only way I can take care of that is to contact my bank. After doing so I was informed I would have to take out an afidavit on Zone Labs in order to get my money back. I didn't want it to go that far but since my bills and a few random charges from my wife (she was unknowing of the double charge by ZA) We have had an issue with non-sufficient funds causing us to overdraft and of course wouldn't you know it we do not have overdraft protection. So that my friends is why I was so incredibly pissed off and made the previous post. I just wanted to come here and post a follow up in case anyone is reading.. I did not want to give ZA a bad name but I hope to never have an issue such as this one with any software company ever again. I am very thankful that they have managed to get this resolved.
