Epson CX5800F

#1 10 May 2011 @ 0:16
I'm having issues with my Epson CX5800F All in One. The Epson Status Monitor shows a communication error. I uninstalled the printer and reinstalled. It worked for a few minutes and then I got the communication error. I also noticed that the printer itself is acting funny. When I power it up, the screen and key pad works for a few minutes and then won't respond. Any ideas? Will send email to Epson. Thanks in advance.

I was able to print with my laptop. Every time I plug it into my desktop, the printer errors out. When I enable the Epson Monitor software, it doesn't respond and just freezes. I don't see the communication error. I did notice however, when the printer was plugged into my laptop, I was able to use the key pad. On the desktop, the keypad doesn't work at all. Anyone else have this problem?

need to know if your mouse is ps2 or usb because if ps2 then uninstall all usb under "universal serial bus controllers" in device manager.

The mouse is ps2. In device manager it's listed under USB. Not sure why. I'm about to call it quits. Can't figure it out.

just needed to know if the mouse was ps2 or usb before you uninstalled all the usb's under the universal serial bus controllers which would have disabled your usb mouse til you did a restart of windows which would have found new hardware & loaded the drivers.
