Hey all, I want to upgrade my Nvidia GeForce 6150 le card because, well, it sucks for gaming and i'm a huge gamer. I recently got Dragon Age: Origins and I love it, but it lags like crazy (my fps must be super low or something). I've been playing older games like WoW, Morrowind, and the original Fable (though that didn't run so well, it was still playable) with no real problems. I'm not good at the technological stuff, i'm just a chick that loves games so can anyone suggest a card that will work on my HP Pavilion a1540n? Been searching the internet and there's so many options I really don't know what will work on my older system, any suggestions? Thanks in advance!!

Thanks for the info! Do you think a TR GeForce 9500 GT Video Card - 1GB would be an acceptable replacement? It's my understanding that it's important to have at least 1GB for gaming and this seems to be one of the most cost effective 1GB cards.

1gig might be overkill if games can't access all that ram. check the games to see what they want for cards/ram. what is your budget?

I really don't want to spend more then $100 but definitely not more then $150. I've seen a lot of cards that go for thousands!
