You could try giving it a belly rub:)
What kind of "DVDRip", what codecs were used for compression?
Use MediaInfo to get the information about those files.

File info:DVDRip 2:10:37(0:00:00-2:10:37),AVI,1/2 Audio
Vidoe:XviD,MPEG4,640x352,23,976fps,1mbps

don't bother.. the list of zeros shows the player isn't seeing any info on the disk.. what are you burning the raw files on? ..that player doesn't seem to support +r disks.. often they won't see them either.. no matter what you do. (forget -rom with the ones which don't see +r disks at all.. a few of my players spit out +r disks as "no disk" no matter what) and god forbid you are trying to use +/-rw disks on a player.. forget those.
I would try a 700mb film on a cd-r to test.. just chop out some of what you have and burn that if lacking a suitable film..
