Ok so I so annoyed about this, I tried to make the shortcut so that XMBC would load on startup, So I replaced the shortcut, after making a backup.

Now just turns on does the xbox logo then hangs and nothing, i've completely screwed it up, was working perfectly as well.

Anyone know how I can fix it.

Its a crystal Xbox, Softmodded via Action Replay and Splintercell Game.

I cant FTP now as well because the Dash wont load.

I tried loading Splinter Cell and running the Linux Installer again but it shows up then just reloads splintercell and doesnt reach the softmod install page!

    Any helps greatly appreciated :(

I have the same problem. Can someone please point us in the right direction? My schedule prevents me from reading every thread and post to find the answer. A link to the solution would be much appreciated.

Boy do I feel dumb. I figured it out on my own. I just put in the game I used to exploit and reloaded the Linux save. Took me right back to the softmod dash. Used file explorer to rename my dash files and delete XBMC.
    Easy enough.

Well, you misplaced something. Hotswap, use XboxHDM. If you cannot get the softmod exploit save to work, that is. Hotswaps are a completely different method of installing softmods. Complicated for first try, took me 7 attempts to get the timing down. All I can say, is USE A PAUSEBREAK when the PC motherboard splash screen shows, hotswap the HD, then press the pausebreak button again to continue loading to the linux CD. This is all explained here:
