I have a Asus M4a89td PRO motherboard and I have been using for a year corsair XMS 3 DDR 3 1333mhz RAM sticks 16 gb total. I just purchased the corsair Vengeance 1600 mhz DDR 3 16 gbs (4 sticks in total) and so far my computer is not booting up. I can get into the BIOS and it does register the 16gb of ram and I have not touched any options to adjust voltage speeds etc... In fact when it looks like its done booting it gives me blue screen and then reboots. I have tried to have the MB regulate the voltage automatically and still no luck. Am I out of luck? or do I need to adjust certain voltages in the BIOS to make this work. Or, is this a limitation of the phenom x6 1090T only supporting up to DDR 3 1333mhz max. Any advise would be great. Thank you,
*Due to CPU spec., AMD 100 and 200 series CPUs support up to DDR3 1066Mhz. With ASUS design, this motherboard can support up to DDR3 1333MHz. http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/AMD_AM3/M4A89TD_PRO/#specifications http://support.asus.com/QVL.aspx?SLanguage=en&p=1&s=24&m=M4A89TD PRO&os=&hashedid=9a96Os3KcsYjaNMk
If I'm reading the specs correctly it only supports up to 1333Mhz. http://www.techwarelabs.com/amd-phenom-ii-x6-1090t/
