Does anyone have this unit? http://www.wdc.com/en/products/products.asp?DriveID=572 I want to know if it will play .vob files created from like DVDFab or if you have to encode them. Thanks so much.
It will play VOB files. If the files are the normal 1GB size, they are not played in sequence (each file has to be selected as the previous file is finished playback). If the DVD was ripped to one large VOB file for continious playback, the USB stick or hard drive will have a maximum single file size restriction of 4GB if it's formatted as FAT32.
