    Why make a new topic? we were working on it.. all I needed was details of which dash.. *sigh*

    Evolution X Dashboard

    If you use Evolution X Dashboard, set the following settings on [Network] section of your evox.ini file:

    [Network]
    #Note: Set “Yes” to set up network, “No” to disable network.
    SetupNetwork = Yes
    #Note: Set “Yes” to set static IP information. Set “No” to obtain the IP information from DHCP server or router.
    StaticIP = Yes
    #Note: Set IP and other network information. This is only applicable if you set StaticIP = Yes. Change the network information as according to your network. Below shown is just an example.
    Ip = 192.168.0.2
    Subnetmask = 255.255.255.0
    Defaultgateway = 192.168.0.1
    DNS1 = 192.168.0.1
    DNS2 = 0.0.0.0

    now that's not a lot of use because you don't have ftp capabilities yet.. but it's simple..

    on the left of the dash are the system options.. go to system .. then network settings .. scroll down until you come to where it says "static" and press "A".. it changes to DHCP.. scroll down to the bottom and save.. it will say you need to reboot to make changes.. so exit back to the main dash and reboot. That should work and there will be an IP displayed.

    follow my instructions.. sheesh.. I posted exactly how to change the network settings using the xbox dash settings... editing the file is something that it's possible to do on a hard modded box because you have access to the file before putting it on.. the second half of my post shows how to set a network once it is already installed.. and I wrote that while doing it on one of mine... so it works.
