imgburn version: 2.5.6.0
dvd burner: Sony dvd rw dw-d26a
I am trying to burn a iso at 2x but imgburn says my drive is not supported. Why? and can I force imgburn to burn at a lower rate. Thanks in advance.

The Disk ID and the burner firmware decide the speed.
You can select a slower burning speed in ImgBurn, but if the firmware is set to burn that particular disk at a higher rate, ImgBurn has no effect.
You can click Tools > Drive > Check for firmware updates, but I would only change firmware as a last resort.
