What this r00, r01, r02, etc. all about?

Hi everyone. I'm pretty farmiliar with burning VIDEO_TS
folders full of VOB files by now but i've come across a movie
which has thrown me. It's a folder full of 50MB files ending in
"dvdr.r00, dvdr.r01, dvdr.r02, etc" - none of which i can open.
There's also a couple of ".nfo", ".rar" and ".sfv" files too.

Just wondering how i need to burn this to dvd-r and will it
play as normal on my mac/dvd player?

Sounds to me like there's some peeeceee sh*t on the dvd. As long as you have a VIDEO_TS folder and AUDIO_TS folder you should be able to dump the rest. That is good to so you can use the space for higher quality video instead.

Ah haaa it just needed to be expanded with Stuffit as it was compressed in rar format.

 

did you have to extract every single .rar file? Do you just dump the extracted files in VIDEO_TS?
