I just got a burner and I want to start backing up some DVDs.

well, I did some reading and I know about Ripping and the differences between DVD5/DVD9. I'm copying DVDs with just 1 layer, but I have some questions about copying DVDs with 2 layers.

I kind of don't want to compress any of the movie; I don't want to lose and picture/sound quality. I know DVD Shrink let's you re-author, but I was wondering if I can get rid of the "extras" and still beable to keep subtitles, and chapter select.

Is that too much to ask for?

    Hi mushu315, welcome to aD,

    No sweat at all -

Down you go, 1/2 of the way down the page, the guide, the programs and all of the instructions and settings are there, you'll have a great backup within 1 and 1/2 hours from beginning the read (faster after that :)
