playing movies

    is there any way to play cd-r movies on your xbox. i have tons of movies in windows media player form and i have a converter in case i need to change anything. i have an x2 with slayers evox and avalaunch

    You can use Xbox Media Centre(XBMC) to play mpg's , divx , vcd's , you just need the right codecs. I'm sure it can play direct from cd using the file exlorer.

    I've got loads of vids on my xbox that play no probs.

    Think I got XBMC #XBINS !!

    i ahve xmbc but when i put it in, it just says no disk in drive. what codecs do i need and where do i put them on. thanks

    What type of drive is in yer x-box. Cause some drives are quite fussy about the type of media your using , my drive is quite fussy.

    Try copying the movie file on to the hard discs via ftp and see if it plays it.

    the original xbox drive is in there. where do i ftp it to if i wanted to do that
