I am following the guide on how to convert xvid to dvd but I got an error saying XviD is not a supported type so I downloaded the xvid codec but have no idea how to install the codec for use with TMPGEnc on windows. I can actually play the movie using real player though, so I am not sure if the codec is already installed :s but anyway i cant open it with TMPGEnc any help would be appreciated cheers p.s. if I use nero and click make new movie, then add the divx video, will it convert it into a suitable format to be played on a dvd player that doesn't support Xvid?
Try download the K-lite codec pack (full version) instead. It contains all the codecs you need and installation is automatic: http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_Lite_Codec_Pack.htm Still, be sure to read the guide first. Good luck!
ok thanks m8... just for anyone who reads this in the future .. nero will convert the XviD.avi movie into a suitable format to play on all dvd players [takes 2 hours :{]
