I'm currntly running osx 10.3 and have tried man, many different settings w/ ffmpegx in trying to get a file that will correctly burn to a dvd-r w/either toast or popcorn and play on either a dvd player or on a ps2. can anyone please tell me which options to check in ffmpegx to successfully get a good file that can be burned w/toast or popcorn? By the way, i keep getting this message when i try to play these dvd's in my player, "tv not compatible with signal" Please, someone help me. I'm running low on blanks.

    first
what type of file are you trying to convert?

the error message makes me think you may video with pal framerate, made to play in australia or some other country.

check the framerate and try using the dvd conversion presets in ffmpegx

trying to convert an .avi movie. The presets for ffmpegx automatically chooses pal, so I thought that it's the setting I should be using. I'll try the ntsc setting and see if that works. thanks for the input.
