can you convert powell to american format..

    I bought a skate video in Italy and It wont play on my stand alone but it will on my mac..I was wonering if there was some way to convert it so I can back it up to play on my stand alone dvd player.. I think it's in Powell format and maybe some other Italian format? I am not really sure please help

    How about ripping it, and making it R0? Eh?

    What is "Italian format"? Italian uses PAL, just like many other country.

    Maybe you should take a break from ripping and burning for a while, and use few hours to read some FAQs how things are done.. You know, basic things.

    i was asking a question for my husband.. thats what he asked
    so thats what i wrote.. i guess thats what "powell" is, PAL...ok
    ill go look somewhere else.. because i have no idea what RO
    is.. or how to do that...oh region 0 i tried to change the region
    and it strongly reccomended i didnt.. but if that works...ill try
    again

    RO is region 0 (region free)

    youll have to rip the dvd with no region code i believe ffmpegx will find a way to convert pal to nstc and reauthor as _ts's

    ill see if ffmegx can do it or not
