    Hello all,

I've searched for this answer and see at least one other person had this problem but I don't see a solution. Please stay with me a little bit since I'm helping an even less computer literate person than I with this. I'm ok with a windows machine but am new to the mac world...

A buddy of mine bought a G5 with the dual 2 ghz and 512 mb of ram. He has version 3.1.1 of DVD X Copy Platinum, version 7.0.1 of virtual pc running XP with sp 2 but I think that's the only patch. The idea was not to put this machine on the network and keep it just for editing, so unless it's magic spyware, there should not be anything on this machine.

He is experiencing the same issue that is talked about in this thread:

Same thing, there is a process listed in the task manager, but nothing ever actually comes up. Was there ever a solution to this problem? Would using 2000 instead of XP help at all? Of should we just look for a native Mac application instead of worrying about this virtual pc stuff?

Any help would be most appreciated. Please let me know if there is any more information I can provide.

    TIA,

    George
