i want to burn the movie only (or select extras).

but my main concern is removing those ridiculous previews and trailers at the beginning of the dvd disc.

i dont want the screen black and blank either. i would like after loading for the dvd to go to the main menu.

    please help.

just wanted to make sure that you weren't using popcorn. really simple. when you rip it you can use main feature extract. then start up dvd2onex and choose disck copy and click on the audios that you want to keep. then burn it. BUT before you burn it make sure that you have the movie the eay you want it.

    sorry i wasn't clear.

i want to burn the movie AND the MENU without anything else. especially not the previews that automatically play when the movie is loaded into the dvd player.

my problem is if i remove those trailer .VOB files and replace them with empty .VOB files, the screen is blank and black instead of going straight to the menu.

how can i do this right?

I don't think there is any easy way to do it.

If you are really adventurous and want to invest a lot of time learning you could try myDVD Edit. http://www.editorsbin.com/mydvdedit/

You should be able to do it with dvd2onex. You need to know what titles & chapters you want to remove.

Then under "selections" uncheck the cell/chapter/layer you don't want.
