i installed my spider chip v1.1 into my xbox v1.0. the blue light turned on and it looks to be working. the problem is that the spider chip startup screen is not there. is it ment to be there only after i flash the chip? if so where exactly can i find a bios file to put onto a cd?

Make sure that your D0 wire is installed correctly, as that is the wire that deals w/ booting into the spider screen. The blue light on the chip just means that it is getting power.

Did you get it brand new or did someone have it before and possibly flash it already?

the link that is on the other thread says that for spider chip v1.1 i need to keep the e wire but on the tutorial guide from the people i bought the chip from it says i need to keep the d wire so which one is correct. i cut off all the other wires except the d wire. if im supposed to put in the e wire is there any chance of repairing it?

I personally have never installed a Spider chip before, so I cannot tell you much more than what I already have. Ask this question on Xbox-Scene forums as they will most likely be able to help you out.

However, in all honesty, I would get rid of that crappy spider chip and go w/ either an Xecuter 3ce (can go solderless) or an Xenium ICE or S.P.ice(can go solderless) because they are much more user friendly. Check out http://www.mod-chip.com to order one if you decide on doing that.
