How to get stills from a DVD?

    Is there an easy way to capture still frames from a DVD? What if it's a backed up DVD? I used MTR and Popcorn. Thanks for any help. I know this is probably a stupid question.

    Have you ever used the "Grab" feature in OS X? it is located in Applications > Utilities. Or just use spotlight and type in grab.

    with the Apple dvd player prevents you from taking pictures.. but if you download the VLC player you can def use the grab feature. Grab takes screen shots and works by capturing a particular window you click on, or the whole screen, or a timed screen shot, or a "selection" where you click and drag a box of what you want to capture. i think the image is saved as a typical jpeg file. i think.

    i am not sure if this is what you are looking for, to take pics like this....

    use dvd capture. just google it.
