Ok, so a member post a message for people about ImageBurn by lightning UK and gets called a liar and a person that created a fake website.Image burn is real and it is made by lightning UK.Afterdawn is not up to par with all news media like cdfreaks and doom9.However this is a good site with by any doubt.I just read the closed thread with this Jmet guy and I blows my mind with all the people that call him a complete liar even though he's just a member posting info(despite all other comments made).Afterdawn does not post all information.Yes here is the site: What Is ImgBurn?

ImgBurn carries on from where DVD Decrypter left off! (Well, for the burning part anyway!)

ImgBurn can write most types of CD / DVD images and it supports all the latest writers (including booktype / bitsetting on many of the major ones - i.e. BenQ, LiteOn, NEC, Plextor, Sony). You can even use ImgBurn to erase / format your rewritable media!

ImgBurn will try its very best to burn your DVD-Video double layer images using the layer break you've specified in the IFO files, but it can also calculate the best place for you, to save you the trouble.

Advanced functionality can be found in context menus that appear when you right click on various bits of the user interface. Can you find them all??!! -cdfreaks.com

ImgBurn is the new tool by DVD Decrypter author Lightning_UK. It continues where DVD Decrypter left off as far as burning CDs and DVDs is concerned. -doom9.org

    Hi there,

    Now I'm all confused.

So this is just an other burning software that looks like DVD Decrypter ?

So it doesn't RIP (Remove Protection like DVD Decrypter does ?)

I'll stay with my existing burning software (VSO CopyToDVD and Nero Burning Rom)...

An other thread about ImgBurn --> http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/240834

from what little i've read, imgburn seems to be from LUK. part of the confusion is the first news we here on AD got to see of it was marred by yet more offtopic and unnecessary crap; but tomorrow's a new day and i for one will have a look at what imgburn is all about and try to ignore all the sillyness that's been happening around here..

if you visit the site, it has all the info you need...

and from the software site i downloaded it from, the author is labeled as Lightning UK but still, it is not really useful software....

PS: i agree VSO software is still the great one alongside Nero... :)

Actually this is a great tool for those that want a free solution to burning a DVD (of course DVDD can also do that), but since this one will be updated, it will be more compatible with newer burners.

I think it would still be a good idea to keep all the previous features except not allow it to rip copy protected DVDs.
