After dl'ing thousands of Java Games via p2p only to find most are incompatible with my phone, I have found a percentage that I can actually play on my V3 RAZR. These are very likely compatible with other phones in the Motorola family and Possibly compatible with other maker's phones, but since I was unable to really find a good bunch of games for my V3, I thought I'd do the legwork of testing and then share. There are about 50 games in this pack, but don't hold me to it, I didn't wanna count 'em all. The basic procedure is to use a proggy called Midway 2.8, load the .jad file of the game you want to transfer, then hit the 'send' button on the program which will send it to your phone. You will need to have your 'java apploader' on your phone enabled in order for this to work. Many of you already know this... so apologies...but some people have different aptitudes and levels of skill with respect to these things. If you don't know how to do that yet, you can search through http://www.HowardForums.com and also check out THIS link, which will have some of the tools that you need as well as a folder entitled "How to install Games" or the like, and that will have two stored webpages that should get you started. Although fun, playing Blackjack on your phone ain't worth 300 stones...so educate yourself thoroughly before you try to do any of this. I have downloaded MIDway and have tried to upload java games on my phone, however the MIDway program cannot find my phone. It is working with Mobile Phone Tools, but not with MIDway. Anyone know what is wrong or what I should do?
Go into settings on Midway make sure the com port is the same one you find in windows > start > settings > control panel > phone and modem options > under motorola usb modem Also make sure before u open up midway, you go on your fone to > settings > java settings > java apploader > connect cable to your phone now
Do think most of these would work on my V600. Usually if a game works for one VXXX then it will work for all right? The Razr isn't a VXXX but i'm pretty sure it is in the same category for games.
