How do you burn AVI FIles to DVD ?

    Hi guys,
    Got a 2 avi files that i cant burn.getting a message the files are too big for disc,how to i shrink or convert the avi so it fits on a dvd,and i also need to merge the files so it is one continous recording rather than 2 separate.

    Im running osx 10.3.9 with toast 6.1.1.

    I've tried a few bits with no success,can anyone help?

    try....divxtodvd....or dvdsanta THESE WILL BURN THE TWO FILES TO ONE DVD-R

    if u have toast 7, simply start up toast and select the video tab and choose dvd-video. then drag the avi files over and click burn or save as disc image. in about 12 hours or so you have a dvd!!!

    question, what happened to dvd ripping with mac???
