Hi guys me again, iam using toast 6.1.1. with an external lacie burner with tdk dvd-r discs,i downloaded a movie in avi format and it wouldnt burn,so i put it thru divx doctor II and it encoded it ,but made the file from 739mb to 1.5gb!

I am getting an error when trying to burn saying
"there not enough free space on this disc,4.5gb are needed,4.4gb are available"

Why wouldi need an extra .1gb when the file is only 1.6 anyway?how do i create more space on the disc??

    Many thanks,
    James.

    first off

dont use these.. not that great.. you can use the link in my sig to id the discs...

the encoding... did that make the video_ts folders?

if it did.. you can use dvd2OneX to compress.. or use popcorn...

and as for media.. nothing but verbatims or TY's for me.. (per my sig)

Hi lox thanks for the reply, does it really matter on the media?all the discs are the same size and capacity so it shouldnt make that much difference surely?
