i have a g4 powerbook and i just recently got toast titanium. i have a region 2 dvd that i would like to make region 1. when i click the copy tab on toast and make a copy of it is stll region 2. in my preference panel it says the tv standard is NTSC and i have an encoding option if i burn from the video panel. can someone please tell me how to make my region 2 dvd a region 1 dvd. thanks!

oh yeah, one more thing. how big of a chance would i be taking if i downloaded some region free firmware for my computer? i hate only being able to switch five times. i think it is ridiculous. my first question was to play region 2 dvd's on my home player so this has nothing to do with it.

you may need to flash your drive.. but that does give you the risk of screwing it up..

if you rip it with MTR.. then you can make it region free...
