I currently have toast 7. I burn some tv show episodes on it with subtitles. When i put it on my dvd player the subtitles where cut off almost completly. i also tryed it in my xbox 360 and it was the same problem. Is there a way to fix the video so it would fit in a tv format? I was told Nero had those options.

Was it a foreign film? Do you know if it was
    PAL or NTSC?

you need to know if the avi is PAL or NTSC. depending where your living, you may need to convert the PAL to NTSC or NTSC to PAL. toast 7 should tell before you convert the avi to dvd.
