Hi lads and lassies,
Have a Eurovox Max 2008(18-04-08 Firmware) on N*L in Finglas.Signal strength is 84% and picture is ok but sound keeps coming and going(sometimes gone for 10-15mins).
Anyone any ideas.Thanks in advance.

Just a suggestion barm,
I had the same problem the picture was fine but the audio intermittent, the volume button didnt alter the volume even though the volume bar moved on the screen,
I changed the connection from a scart to RF lead and this solved my problem.

Hi guys - not sure if this is the right place or not...
I am just updating my Eurovox Max V to A Eurovox PVR EX500.
Just want to know is the firmware / software the same ?
If not where can I get it from... any links please ???
Also can I use my channel list from my Max V

its the exact same box but with improved picture and a slot for an ide 2.5" laptop drive.not recommended to get one too large maybe 120-160 max as it could run hot.

do you mean you've just bought a pvr?if so look in eamos library under my sig(eurovox folder,pvr folder,firmware)the firmware is the bin file, the software is the loader,but this do's not matter as it's an all in one ufl,not sure about the cdf though.

Just gone to eamos library and downloaded 1.1a take it this is the newest available ?
Does this decrypt all the same channels? And Auto update same as the MAxV ?
Hopefully my box arrives today - comes with a 160gb pre installed so looking forward to discarding my Sly+ and telling Rupert Murdoch where he can stick his basic package of £22 per month - recently increased I might add!!!

lol i was paying MR Branston lots of money each month - like 3 figuares with the boxes phone and net lol now only pay a fraction. ok had to pay out for me boxes but well worth it - even with all the troubles we had a few months ago!

Found out the f***ing scart was loose at the back of tv!!!
Everything is ok now

Did you load a channel dump after updating firmware?If so make sure you do a factory reset before channel dump.
Or did you do a powerscan?
If so make sure when in the powerscan menu, that you turn favorite sort to 'off'

Hi,
I have a problem with a max v with the latest software,when scanning using the correct symbol rate for VM i can get all the channels but at my mates house which is N*L i put the correct symbol rate but get no channels at all could someone help me.

try using the symbol rate that you are usuing i am x nthell but had to use TW or CW symbol rates - sorry cant remember which oen it was. but try all of them and you will find one that suits

Its either a 2006 or 2007 model. To check look at the tuner at the top righthand side of the box with the front of the box facing you. If the silver tuner takes up 8 grill slots its a 2007, if it takes up 12 its a 2006.

Just about to take my old Eurovox max V down to a friend of mine in Worthing - I gather he is on NTL (Virgin)...
Anybody got any idea on what search parameters/ frequencies I should put into the box...

Hi there, ye seem to know a lot about the Eurovox box so i was hoping someone could help me.
I have a Eurovox 2007 Model DVB-XC Box TDA and have NThell in Dublin city centre and recently my channels just disappered - my basic satellite is working fine and i have tried everything that i know of -eg clear data , reinput codes - 6.887 and from 250-400 and nothing though i can see channels there after i do the power scan but it just hangs on - please wait, channels being updated. What can i do?

your box propably needs to be flashed press menu congig system info and tell us what it says
