In theory both Toast 7.0.2 and Pioneer 108 (installed internally in a G4 dual 1.25Gb PM with 2Gb RAM) work with dual-layer DVDs. I purchased some Verbatim DVD-R dual layer DVDs and have tried one to burn a film ripped by MacTheRipper. But Toast doesn't accept this media. It ejects it. Is there something I don't understand or is it a fallacy that the Pioneer 108 does dual-layer burning?

    thanks for any suggestions, elucidations.

    cheers.

Actually it does...but only DVD+R, not DVD-R which was what I was trying, being a Mac person and more used to - media. I just tried burning with a DVD+R spare I had handy and it worked fine.

I assumed, since it supports both + and - formats in CDs that it supports both in dual-layer media. Not true. Rats. Now I have 10 virgin DVD-R media I need to sell, possibly to someone in France, since that's where I'm located and I don't want to ship internationally, sigh. Anybody interested?
