I have tried to fix this error by reading through previous posts, but still can't fix the problem. I have never had a problem, but now I can't burn a single dvd. I haven't changed media (using Memorex 16X dvd-r, which I have never had a problem with). I also update my firmware. I have pasted the log. If anyone has any ideas on how I can fix this problem, please help. Although you say you haven't had any problems with memorex, you do now. Burner doesn't like your media You need to free up some memory, shut down any unnecessary progs You are burning too fast, slow to 4X Also burning too close to edge of disc, cut it back to 4300
Hmmm... this is a bit too close to the edge, especially you're using crap media like CMC MAG. I don't even dare to go beyond 4440MB with top notch media like (1) Taiyo Yuden, (2) Verbatim "advanced azo or datalife plus, (3) Maxell (made in japan by Hitachi Corp.) -- you'll need to customize your size to at least 4360MB - 4400MB. No offense here, but you're using one of the worst media ever in the market. I suggest you get some high quality media as I've mentioned above. Again, I don't even dare to go beyond 8X with top notch media like YUDEN, Verbatim and Maxell (mij by Hitachi). I recommend you slow down to 4X or 8X if you feel the need to. Tons of knowledgeable members here at AD would never dare to burn more than 4X because it's the best and safest that way. You need to dump that Roxio program (or application). Roxio don't get along with Nero, it conflicts with Nero and therefore you're more than likely to get "coasters" down the road. Get Roxio Zapper her http://www.downloadjunction.com/product/store/15199 and run it to completely wipe Roxio from your system. Good luck!!
I followed all of the advice you two gave, and still no luck. I went and bought Verbatim DVD-Rs, removed Roxio, closed unnecessary programs, and tried burning at 4X. Here is the new log.
