This is a last ditch effort to figure this out. Here is my deal:

I have a movie that I want to play on my DVD player. Its a 795MB file that obviously wont fit onto a CD-R to make a VCD, and I have some DVD-R's here. I've managed to take the file, copy it onto a CD-R, and turn it into a DAT file, which I renamed a MPEG file, thus allowing it to play on my QuickTime player (as opposed to only being able to play on VLC player). So now I have a MPEG file, but I can't get it on to a DVD-R for the life of me. I just want to be able to play this movie on my DVD as opposed to my Powerbook. I tried using Toast 6 Titanium, but I got the error message that read this: "CD-ROM XA or Audio Tracks cannot be written to DVD". I'm officially stumped. It seems everyone has a different opinion of what to do, but I'm just clueless. Also, I apparently don't have iDVD on my system...do I need that to burn a DVD?

Thanks to anyone who can help...and my apologies if this is posted elsewhere. I couldnt find anything that answered my question.
