i need help

    hello,

    i have just got the pioneer a05.

    i have encountered a number of problems. i installed burnatonce because cdrwin and other programs do not work.

    i changed the burn speed to 1x (burning cdrs) but it says it is burning at speed 4!

    i am using xp and the version of the pioneer is 1.30

    i don't really understand all this firmware stuff.

    can anyone help me?

    You wan to burn CD-R's at X1 ?

    I have a Pioneer 104 & for CD-R burning I dont think it goes as low as X1.

    I can see your point if you're meaning DVD-R

    did you try using nero?
    nero express is pretty simple and offers you to choose between burning CDs and DVDs, and addapts speed and space measures accordingly.

    I use Nero myself too.

    I much prefer to to use Nero Burning Rom rather than the stupid little Nero Express...but each to their own.

    I have a question for you herbs, how do you get the nero interface when under nero express?
    at work I can switch from one to the other but at home I have the "about" window... and I'm stuck on express... I have the nero 5.5.10.20 (which is a nero update AND a nero express installer) ... humm Now that I writing that I know I installed a proper (and old) burning rom 5.5 at work and then upgraded it, whereas I used the demo standalone.. Might be that.. What do you think?

    It could well be that it's a demo as to why you dont have full function...
    (I'm just opening Nero Express now to see how I change it)!
    At the bottom of the opening page on Nero Express (at least on my full 5.5.9.9. version) it has HELP , NERO BURNING ROM & MORE buttons.
    Just hit the middle one Nero Burning Rom mate.

    Well it's a "registered" demo but yeah it's the very same button... with different functionality according to the install... yeah burning rom is certainly not properly installed. Thanks.
