I would use the RoxioZapper before the Nero Cleaning Tool. Nero is a keeper! LOL

Thanks gwendolin for that bit of information I did not know that, I've down loaded nero 6. Maybe you or anyone can give me an answer about Shrink, I copy the DVD's and at the end of the coping it won't open up any more, it goes directly to the folders that hold the files I want to burn. It says something about hard drive I don't know how to copy from their. Is there any help?

If Nero is installed once you click 'back up' in Shrink your drive will be listed under 'select target device'. Also which version of Nero are you using? The one version that will not autoburn w/ shrink is 6.6.1.4.
Or you can open Nero Express and pick 'disc image or saved project' then open the video_ts folder for the movie and burn.

    Hi benbernie
Can't help you much w/ SoundTrax - don't use it - but if the version on the cd works for you and the rest of the apps in this version work for you as well then just stick with that version for now.

Yep install from the cd and don't update it if that version works for you.
Do a clean install - uninstall Nero - run the clean tool (see gwen's post for links) then install from the cd.

Why would SoundTrax crash well could be some conflict with it and your pc setup or bugs in Soundtrax.

It's not something I would recommend - shutting down Norton while downloading. If you do - do a virus scan right after you download Nero.
I wouldn't think you would have to turn Norton when installing from the cd either but then again I haven't used Norton in awhile.

    hi karen
soundtrax is crashing again but not alot.when u use your type of software to burn cds do u put the line in from your recording co
-ontrol in your computer on your desk top?it really makes your
lps sound alot better.can this make some software crash?or can
real player cause the same crashing with some programs(even the
    one you use)?

    Hey lenny
The cds I burn are either ripped from the cd or downloaded mp3's.
Then I just use Nero, WMP or Sonic and add the mp3's to an audio compilation and burn.
I have real player installed on my pc's and haven't had it cause any conflicts but I've never used SoundTrax.

There's a newer version of Nero - 7.10.1.0 that you might want to give a try.

I'm pretty clueless on SoundTrax - one day I'll need to play w/ it.

Lame answer but you can try emailing Nero Tech Support with all the details - don't hold your breathe for an answer though.
The 1st thing they'll probably say is do a clean install running the clean tool. I think you've already done with previous versions and still had SoundTrax crash so I would say that in the email.

I've had RealPlayer installed for a long time on my pc's - never caused any crashes on my setups but that's doesn't mean it won't for you and your setup.
Try uninstalling RealPlayer and run a registry cleaner like ccleaner then try SoundTrax and see if it makes a diff.

I won't think so but you never know.
You can disable Scout and uninstall InCD and see what happens.
But I don't think you the only one this is happening to.
Here's a link. You might want to check back on this blog and see if they get any responses.
