i have brought a star view receiver but i cannot find the software to download to get the chargeable channels. can anyone help?? i have got the 1st generation type of box

GTRom Loader v4.00 - Downloads:


Download the GTRom Loader First to check if my server hasn't corrupted the files. If it downloads but doesn't startup then all the files will be corrupt. It seems to be a problem with the PHP on my server

If you notice that these links do not work then just say so and I will try to update them as soon as possible. And if someone could test the firmwares which I have not tested that would be most appreciated

Get a Bin c=image for your area though and this will
save you a bit of work.

i just bought 2 new boxes starview 3 and upladed the latest firmware Gtrom v8.00 and there working fine.
i have also got a normal the box receiver which i got last year and wanted to know what was the latest update for that as the epg and teh box always freeze.

if you have 4.50 thats why. use 4.52 instead. it's nearly the same and 4.54 is glitchy.

its just says the Box and teh seriel no begins 7e01

so what model would that be

Hi, I updated my starview with firware version 4.1 & when it says auto update and reaches 100% the channels are working fine thank god!!

could anyone tell me if this is the latest firmare as i have been searching all day. does this mean i don't have to keep entering in the codes manually will the box just reboot itself?

thanks a lot yeah that is the firmware i loaded on2 it. also a few more questions. I have 2 genuine starview boxes that won't let me load firmware on2 it keeps saying failed, i ave tryed turning on and off etc etc and still no joy, i also have 2 starview clone boxes which won't allow me to put the clone firmware on2 them. i have done everything with regards to switching the boxes on, off, waiting a while them retrying. can anyone please help me fix this problem. cheers

As regards the genuine one's you can do a box to box software transfer, menu-user set up-s/w transfer-code software,connect both boxes with the nullmodem turn the box you want to load the firmware on away from the remote use the remote on the box with the new softtware on it if this dosn't work then you'll no it's a problem with your cable ,as regards the two clones have a read again in the starview help link under my pic.

I connected both boxes with the null modem & done the s/w transfer the starview box still seems to go2 data update and doesn't seem to autoroll. I have also checked the starview help link for the clone boxes, where is the starview folder? i am kind of new to this thing. many thanks

On the genuine boxes , Press Menu then 1570 and press the "Set Default Key" , press OK , Exit 3 times and tune into S*Y Sports and it should auto update for you.

You will need version CryptStar-v1.4-Core257.bin firmware for CLONES found in Starvi*w firmware folder

I am trying to download the GTRom Loader v4.00 and in doing so get a 'Invalid server or user' error.
Has it been removed ? If so where can I download it from or could it be sent via email ?
