First, this is not a Mac vs PC thing. Although I do tease my Mac loving friends, I am just trying to find out some info for a friend who is just entering the dvd backup world. How are utilities such a Mac the ripper and DVD2OneX faring against the newer dvd copy protections?? For me in the PC world, we have so many free and capable programs to choose from and the latest offerings are constantly being updated to deal with any new protection that pop up?? Are there any programs for the Mac that are updated as frequently as some of their PC counterparts such as DVDFAb, RipIt4Me and AnyDVD??? Thanks... I just want to get my friend the best options he can.
Why have frequent updates when the program still works exactly the same as it did over one year ago. I rarely have issues with any DVD's. I just did Mission Impossible III a week ago with no issues, same program I downloaded earlier this summer, no updates.
