hi there ok, i download it, burn it , install it but when it gets to the loading screen after the intro it crash.i know it is safedisc 2 so i dont know if i did it right if someone can help thanks!!!!!!!!!
1. If you are using WXP, Microsoft has address this issue in one of the Service Updates 2. What are your system specs? Are you sure you can run it? 3. What burner do you have? Is it a 2-sheeper? hi well its a hp p4 2.0ghz 512ram 64 video i dont what else. the cd-r is lite-on ltr 40125s. it runs but and at the loading stops and crash and i do have wxp wel thanks bye
Is the Litey the only drive you have? Download& install Daemon Tools and enable Safedisc emulation. [bold] Leave Daemon Tools running in startup\system tray) [/bold] and insert your backup in your litey and play. What burning program did you use to backup Mafia? Shoey
Microsoft Knowledge Base Q327979 (WXP Game Intro Movie Crash)... I would give you a link to it but i dont know it and I'm on 56K :-(
hi i also havea dvd drive. one stupid question those a backup have to be only from the original cd or not
hi it didnt work it still crash but should i install it again now that i have the tools and the wxp thing? well thanks for the help
Silly me forgot to ask what is the brand name and model of your burner? if it's a "1 sheep" then you play the backup in your [bold] burner [/bold] with the aid of emulation (ignore media type\hide cd-r) and "enhance or amplify weak sectors" in the write process. Daemon Tools "might" get the job done if you enable Safedisc emulation and play your backup in your cd burner with Daemon Tools running in system tray\startup. I have a "2 sheep burner list" located in the sticky threads after you enter the CD-R forum. http://www.elby.ch/en/products/clone_cd/writers/a.html and http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/45121 S_X_X_X_X_X_[small]Certified Computer Technician http://www.afterdawn.com/general/legal.cfm Mobo: MSI KT4VL-6712 CPU: AthlonXP Barton 2500+ Ram: 512 SD-DDR (PC-2700) nVidia GeForce4 MX440-8x Maxtor ATA\133 80 gig hd DVD-ROM: LiteOn LTD 165H CDRW: Memorex52MAXX 2452[/small]
so i should desinstall the game burn it again with weak sectors things/ the cd-r i dont know if it is 1 sheep or 2 but the name is 4 message up ok thanks
Don't uninstall m8, right click My Computer>properties>hardware tab folder>device manager>click the + beside dvd\cd-rom and post your brand name cd burner and model#. Shoey
Hi all, i got a orginal copy of Mafia. Haven't backed it up yet, but the original copy is prone to a few crashs here and there. From what i've been reading on gaming reviews, the game does have quite a few bugs, and the developers arent going to put any patches in the near future.
