Problems finishing dvds

    ok when i burn a dvd it gets to about 70% and shoots the disc out and says to put a new one in and the disc it shoots out wont play on a dvd player at all what do i do

    We need to know a little more..are you backing up a DVD, what program are you using etc.

    nero 7 ultra and im tryin to burn a video file i downloaded and tryin to burn to dvd so i can watch it on dvd player

    i can get to the point of burning but when i get about 70% into burning the dvd rom drive spits out the dvd im burning and tells me to insert another disc ? im not sure what to do ive tried burning 4 different movies and no luck im starting to think its a waste cause all my dvdr's im wasting

    i think i may know what i did wrong im burning a 10 min show real quick and see if it works

    im using a maxell DvD-R 4.7 2hour sp mode disk its sayin that it doesnt support that

    Heres your problem

    It appears the -R format is NOT compattable...you will have to use +R

    No problems, get yourself some Verbatim or Sony (made in japan) +R/RW discs...use only good quality.
