I am trying to burn a dvd and I keep getting the message "No appropriate disc in drive". I am using Nero 7, it seems to be related to the original movie The Holiday.
Well, without any more information, is the project too large for your media? Make sure you are selecting the correct drive.
At present I do not think that its anything to do with my drive. I am using a hp lightscribe drive that normally works fine. When u put the original disc it it will autmaticaally play (I think using media player) you have to exit the disc. It is only after the drives are selected (using Nero) & u select copy that the error message appears. It does exactly the same using my wife's pc. The disc will play fine using my normal dvd player.
Hey Shado36 What are you using to remove the copy protection on this one? Has Sony's latest junk on it. Use DVDFab Decrypter to rip to your hard drive then use Recode to compress and fit to the disc. link Or you can use RipIt4Me - link. If you're using AnyDVD you'll need to do movie only w/ Recode.
Ok - I doubt DVD43 can handle this one - it was last updated 5/06 and this DVD has the newer Sony copy protection on it. So the free way would be to use DVDFab Decrypter or RipIt4Me. These will handle The Holiday. I would uninstall DVD43 before using either one (can causes conflicts w/ other rippers) or at the very least turn DVD43 off.
Not a problem Shado36 For the newer ones you better off using DVDFab or RipIt4Me - they'll handle all the new stuff. Happy Burning!
