    Thanks scOuser for your response.

But after looking through this the thread about the box's specification ( page 1 )and then double checking on the internet site i purchased it from it states......

You can also connect the Hard Drive to a PC and download your Content To Store or Burn on to DVD.

    I am confused??????

That was the original intention but it has ran into some teething problems.

I'm sorry sc0user, but using a partitoning/file system and possibly a file type that Windows can not see and does not understand, is not a "teething problem"

Its the exact same process that the "OTHER" companys use to stop people from accessing the recorded material on their PVR's.

At least with Microsoft using the FAT/NTFS file systems and then perpriatry file formats in MCE/VMC/Fuji its leaving room for a work round, to be found.

Having said that, as these box's are kind of "Open Source" has anyone tried to read the hard drives in Linux or OSX ??

I only pass on what has been passed onto me. Its been looked at, my reference to "teething problem" was an anachronism based on the way I post I suppose.

The firmware is not as open sourced as one would like to think even based on linux or not.

You need to flash it with version 1.1 firmware which can be found in Eamos at the end of my post. Have you ever flashed a Eurovox before?

Not really you are in the right place. Get the firmware in Eamos and follow this guide http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/674371 (Its a guide for Eurovox Max Models), but is exactly the same procedure. But of course using different firmware.

You will need cable or cables dependent on your set up but the guide and firmware will sort you out. Where are you roughly located.

VM only its a cable box and Sly only works with their own propriety equipment.

Antenna cable or MMDS in Ireland you need the Eurovox TX. But as you are talking about antenna and are based in the UK, I presume you are taking about DTT freeview and no these are not freeview boxes.

Cable only thats it for the UK.
