MagicISO converts movie from bin file format?

#1 26 Jun 2007 @ 16:28
I've made several coasters now trying to use MagicISO on a downloaded movie that is in bin format. I got an exact copy of what was downloaded. Duh... Obviously I'm using it incorrctly! How do I do it? When I opened it as a movie, it made a VOB file. Can't play that either. Help! The fog has not lifted!

If it's a.bin file then it would be a VCD.
Run DVD Decrypter, Mode > ISO > Write.
Load the .bin file, look at the size (probably 700~800MB), put a cd in the drive and burn.

OK, I downloaded and installed DVD Decrypter. Located the bin file and set it to iso write. Got this error message:

Your image doesn't appear to be in the correct format for burning onto a dvd.
Image format: Mode2/form1/2352
DVD format: Mode 1/2048
Would you like to continue anyway?

What do I do now? I'm stuck!

In dvd decrypyter, what size does it say the image is.
Note the size in this example and the time.
This example is a CD image (bin) and would burn to a CD.

That's the message you get if you insert the wrong media.
If it's a CD image it has to be burned to a cd.

Strange. The size is 846,710,592 bytes. It's being sent to my dvd burner. Isn't that size too big for a cd? Will a cd play in a dvd player?

Probably a KVCD.
Burn it to CD and it should play OK.

You're right! Ok! I will do that as soon as I buy some CD's. Do the same constraints apply to CD's as it does to DVD's? I use TY's DVDs now and wouldn't change brands for the world. Do they sell CD's too?

Thanks for the help!

An after thought --- is there any way to convert it to a dvd instead of a cd? I have to buy Cds because I'm out of them where I have DVDs on hand...

There's a thread here about converting.

I guess I'm slow tonight. I don't understand what the thread says to do. The file in my mpeg folder isn't an AVI. It's avseq01.dat

I believe that once the file is extracted you add .mpg to the name and treat it as an mpeg file .
You can play it or covert it as you wish.
