    Hi everyone!
Recently I have been having trouble playing a 2x apple dvd-r disc in my DVD player at home. I have been ripping DVDs from DVDbackup, then using DVD2one to fit into 4.7gb disc, then a final burn with Toast 6.
My question is to any that are having a problem or have hurdled long nights of reburns and solve the problem.
I am sure that a followed all steps to backing up my original disc then store it on an Apple DVD-r 2x disc. Does it matter that I purchased 2x disc and have a super drive that writes at 4x? If not, then how come my first attempt to backup my with a 4x disc played on my DVD player, but my second attempt with the 2x disc tells me that I need to insert a readable disc in my DVD player?

You might not be telling Toast the media you are using 2x or 4x. I have used plenty of Apple disccs. All 4x thou, seems to work fine for me. I use toast 5.2. Is 6 better or faster?

toast six is better, way better!
Also does anyone know how to get just only the menus of a DVD? Or better yet does anyone know how to get screenshots of DVD menus?
    Thanks!

You should start a new thread for that one. I am curious on how to copy special features only with menus.
