Site update - March 16th 2010

AfterDawn.com has been updated! In addition to renewing the layout of the site we have also speeded up things considerably. The new version has been tested on our Finnish site for several months, and during the testing we have managed to improve the new version even further.

You can now enjoy this new layout at English AfterDawn.com and English Discussion Forums as well! We have also introduced new sections to the site, and re-arranged things a bit.

AC3 Problem when splitting DVD's

#1 02 Dec 2003 @ 3:59
Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone can help me out here.

Just tried to back-up Blade & Blade II but got the same problem with both of them. Basically, I had to split them over two discs each. First part is always OK but the second part has an AC3 file which DVD Studio Pro doesn't recognise, why is this?

Software I'm using:
DVD EXTRACTOR 0.9B
DVD STUDIO PRO 1.5

Hardware:
APPLE MAC G4

System Software:
MAC OS 9.2.2

Any help, mucho appreciated!!

It's a bit weird replying to myself but seeing as I managed to fix it, I thought I'd add this reply for anyone else who had this problem with AC3 files.

Basically, if DVDSP can't recognise your AC3 file, you'll need to use "mAC3dec" to fix it. Search through Google for a download of it if you haven't already got it.

1) Open "mAC3dec"
2) Go to 'File' drop menu, and 'Add AC3'
3) Go to 'Decode' drop menu and choose 'Fix'
4) A 'save' dialog box will appear. Make sure your new file is the same name as the old one. Click 'save'.
5) That's it!!!
