    Hey all

Sorry to be a pain but have run out of ideas!!!

My starview box when turned on will put on the last channel but after about 10 seconds will turn off and then back on and it will carry on doing this.

I have tried doing a factory reset on a number of occasions to no avail has anyone got any ideas???

Thanks in advance for your help and a happy new year to all!!!

    Have you a genuine S******w or a clone ?
    18 slots x7 rows = clone
    25 " x7 " = genuine

Also what firmware is on your box ? Press the 'Menu' button on your remote and select 'System Info' from the list and post back.

You have the right firmware on it for a clone,it's a strange one, it could be a fault in the firmware as this has happened to me I have a genuine and anytime I'd be in the EPG it would go off after a few mins everytime, you could try re-flashing it with the firmware to see if that will stop it from going off,do you know how to do that ?

Yeah that's jtagging the box usually only done when the box is completely dead but try putting the firmware on it first and see ;)

Clones are ok once the right firmware is installed

    Hey all

Just managed to sort this now but replaced it with Maplins 1000/35v high temp capacitor.

The box is working fantastic which is great but in the long run is the Maplins 1000/35v high temp capacitor going to cause me problems?

    Thanks

I'm not sure about Caps but if you have a clone be sure to put the 2.57_FIXED firmware onto it
