Ok I have tried backing up several movies since I am moving in a few weeks. (have had them disappear during a move before). I Copy them with DVD Shrink. Take out all of the extra's. Then burn them with Nero 8. Everything goes fine, the burning finishes with no errors. But when I go to play the movies in both my computer and my dvd player they work fine until about a hour in. Then they stop and go back to the menu screen. I also tried the Nero Recode which I thought would work from what I have read here but when I tried burning it, it said the media was not burnable. I am using Maxell DVD+R 4.67 16x.
try a firmware update http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_all.php use better blank media (Taiyo Yuden and or Verbatim) keep your burn speed at 4x to 8x max. and better software may help read this thread http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/622748
