JT45, kindly reach your left little pinky finger over and turn off your caps lock before posting further. You see it's considered shouting, rude and not to mention against forum rules.

What type of movies are you trying to backup...SD DVD, HD-DVD or BR?

Don't care.. not interested.. are there not enough threads on exactly this subject stickied all over this site and posted randomly in every topic for a person to find them? And then what is that search box for do we think.. decoration??? Does it sit there sneering dares at us to use it??? Will it bite?????

And while I'm off on one in finest Fiend style.. every film ever made, sound recording or photograph taken.. cartoon, drawing, scribble, post it note and graffiti is subject to COPYRIGHT!!! even your home movies have copyright.. you own them, they are yours and CANNOT be used, copied, broadcast, displayed, sold, traded or stored without your permission. I think you mean COPY PROTECTION .. which is an entirely different subject.

Come on JT45.. pull your socks up.. maybe your kids can find the answers.. they tend to be really good with computers ;) /rant

TRY THIS....Backing up your DVD w/DVDFab, FixVTS, Shrink & ImgBurn

This is the most up to date guide using free proggies as of today it should help you be able to create a backup of your DVD Movie. I have decided to post this guide here seeing how RipIt4Me will soon become obsolete and everyone will be looking for the new free way to back up their original DVD movies.

You will need the following programs to backup your movie and follow along in this guide (Just click on the program name to get the program now)

    1) DVDFab Decrypter
    2) FixVTS
    3) DVD Shrink (You must use this version to enable burning with ImageBurn)
    4) ImageBurn

That is all there is to it I hope you found this guide useful. My recommendation is to always only back up the main movie for the best quality, but I did show you how to do it both ways.

    Good luck

Yepp... AnyDVD or DVDFab Platinum 4.1.0.2 or, DVDFab HD Decrypter 4.1.0.2. RipIt4Me struggles with many, many new releases.

You should hang around. They pay us good money for helping others! I made $2,500 just last month in only 40 hours of helping others. You just need to find the secret thread.
