I BOUGHT THIS IN HOPES TO RECORD MOVIES, BUT EVERY DVD-R CD I USE I GET AN ERROR MESSAGE STATING THAT I CAN NOT RECORD ON THIS DISK E4 54037380 WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? THE DVD-R'S IS A MAXELL BRAND SHOULD I SWITCH BRANDS? OR RETURN MY PLAYER?

I use Sony DVD+R 16x in my recorder with no issues... It should only run you 10 dollars at any store for 30 of them, hope this helps.
