Hi,
Bought and installed new kryptview box yesterday & was working fine.
Now appear to have lost all channels, it's saying scrambled or no video. Do I have to input codes, if so how do I do this, the same as the starview box we used to have or should it do it automatically. Any help would be much appreciated.

No, on NO account do you attempt to enter Starview codes into a Kryptview box!
Go here - http://eko.4shared.com (Thank you for such an excellent place ryanmg)

Download the following files from the Kryptview folder

KRYPTViEW_aRNeT_loading_Instructions.zip
KRYPTViEW_ArnEt_loader.exe
Kryptview_04042008.zip

Read and make sure you understand the instructions file before proceeding ... it's a fairly simple procedure :)

Yes, the reason is that Virginmedia keeps changing the decryption codes.

Check the following thread for the latest codes you need for TheBox

how do you entre the codes manualy for the box to work
#14
mr_smith ... do you own a Kryptview box or a Starview as I am unsure as to which you have.

If you own a Kryptview

Go here - http://eko.4shared.com

Download the following files from the Kryptview folder

KRYPTViEW_aRNeT_loading_Instructions.zip <<-- READ THIS FIRST !!!
KRYPTViEW_ArnEt_loader.exe
Kryptview_04042008.zip

If you own a Starview

Click the link below for the latest codes ...

#17
It would appear that the reason you are receiving an error message is that you have the wrong cable ... the RS232 is not correct ... you need a NULL modem cable like this

@ mr_smith

You definitely need the Null Modem Cable so yes, a gender changer is also required in this instance. The RS32 cable you currently have won't work in any way, shape or form.

Hello,
recently i purchased a kryptview box, it has latest stable firmware on it and seems to do the business, except some channels are pixalated i.e itv2,s*tanta sports news, sly screen 2 and some are not regognized properly, they are getting put into 'uncategorized' section as TV000,some work some dont, about 80% of channels work, its just really annoying some good ones and some very basic ones dont work at all, any suggestions, thanks alot

Hi thanks for the advice on the site, I have the Kryptview box andhave downloaded the new firmware and loader and instructions. The only point im slighlty confussed with is wot cable i need to get? In the nstructions it calls the cable a rs232 but in one of the posts it talks about this being the wrong cable and that i need a null modem cable? :s I only have usb ports available on my laptop. Would anyone be able to oint me in the right direction?
thanks
