eurovox EX5000 PVR problems

I'm based in Dublin Ireland.
I've just recieved my new box the eurovox EX5000 PVR, previously used a eurovox V-max which was fine.
I scanned the box & got 130 channels but only get a picture from 4 or 5 channels, the rest say channel scrambled.
Do I need different software?
Also I am unable to access the "extra menu" the codes I used for the V-max do not open it.
Any help please.

i have the same eurovox but my problem is that the epg time for the programs is wrong...the menu is 1 hour out..i have tryed to srt the time on the eurovox but to no avail

please help

 

have you used the search facility at the top of the page as this topic has been discussed on numerous occasions,any way here you go here- 1. Unplug EV then plug it back in.
2. Turn on and immediately press menu.
3. Go to config, then time settings.
4. Set correct time using GMT setting.
5. Turn GMT off.
7. Press blue button to save and exit.

Note if you unplug EV again you will have to do above again, so leave in standby at night

i have just got and set up my eurovox ex5000 pvr and its working fine its just on certain movie channels there is like a narrator speaking over it and its annoying! is there any way i can switch it off? sorry if its something simple but i dnt know what to do?

have a look in eamos library under my pic dolphin6 has put in a comprehenseive for eurovox pvr,just look for the pvr folder.

I am due to get a eurovox ex5000 with 120gb hdd, i have read all the items about the flashing etc, all i need to know for now is do i flash it with the hard drive in or take it out or does it not matter?? thanks.

im about to buy an EX5000 PVR too. I have **L digital in one room, and the regular cable coming the for the rest of the rooms. Can i only use it in the digital room, or can i use it in any room?

Also, what the name of the cable i need for the inevitable download, and how many times roughly do you have to do it?

And lastly, is there another model i can buy that would be easier for me and would last longer? i havent got alot of cash to take a chance, and i cant afford the regular stuff via cable, so im hard pressed to get this rigth first time.

Once again, thank you in advance for any help you can give, this site is great.

 

you can use it in any room it will be better if the signal isn't split,look in the eurovox link under my sig for info on flashing etc,and how long is a piece of string?who know's how long things last,if you want a cheaper box without a harddrive try the box super.

 

Thaks karl. To be honest, i can afford this one, i just dont want it to go like my mates one and go caput. His may have been a clone though from what else ive read here??

Last two questions- where is the site to download stuff you need?

And what kind of cable do i need to buy to link it up to my pc?(im a complete tech retard.
